Senator Zell Miller Loses his mind

It's nice to see our elected officials are earning their keep by ranting on the floor of the Senate about the Super Bowl.

I think Zell is one of those Democrats in Name Only. He's written a book trashing the Democratic Party. He not only supports Bush's legislation, but he's already endorsed him in the upcoming election. Again, let's repeat - this is the Democratic Senator from Georgia.

Anyway, the most amusing part of this rant is his insistence that we were seeing the Far Left on display at the Super Bowl. Someone should remind him that these companies aren't right wing or left wing - they are profit whores.

I wonder if instead of a hack like Kid Rock, if the good Senator would have gotten all hot and bothered if Lee Greenwood sang his devil-spawned "Proud to be an American" with a flag wrapped around him like a toga.
