Japan - Day 4

Not much going on for Day 4. Hit the sento again in the morning. Far more crowded, and slightly less enjoyable. The baths are still wonderful, but some of the older gents in the room didn't seem really thrilled to have us foreigners around. As Gladis said "Eh, fuck 'em."

Spent most of the day wandering around the Sanjo area of Kyoto, especially the shopping area. Walked into the middle of major accident scene - looked like someone rear-ended a mini-van, and said mini-van was sent careening into a small store. Pretty exciting stuff.

The highlight of the day was dinner - Yakiniku, or as we refer to it, Meat Orgy. For around 8000 yen, we had all you can eat meat and all you can drink. I'd like to think we struck fear into the heart of the waitstaff, but it isn't likely. I mean, we didn't even eat enough to get the Meat Sweats. Dessert was two flasks of sake at the always fantastic Ing Bar, followed by several large bottles of Sapporo beer. Only took four days, but we finally got good a properly drunk. A job well done.
